The AWP.

Yeah, I know I said I would do a post on Nuke, but I thought I should do this weapon and then the MP5(SMG) before that.
Every FPS game has its ultimate sniper rifle. Counter Strike has the AWP. In the hands of a skilled player the AWP is a very, very lethal weapon.
So, first thing, the AWP has to be shot standing still to be accurate.
And one of the absolute best things I've learned is something called pre-scoping. What this means is you zoom in before you peak/jump out from behind cover and your already zoomed in, so if anyone is in your sights you can just shoot them instead of coming out, zooming in, aiming and then shooting. If you dont pre-scope while coming out of cover your opponent will see you and move, and by the time you've zoomed in your dead. So, practice this in Deathmatches A LOT, trust me, this will help you immensely.
After pre-scoping comes the different styles of shooting:
 Quick-scoping
no-scoping
Stand-scoping(cant remember the actual name of the technique but I will explain it to you.)

I will start with quick scoping. Basically all you need to do is right click (zoom) and left click (shoot) really fast after that. So its almost like your hitting both mouse buttons at the same time. Hud_saytext 1 (its in my config guide) will help you with this. Another technique similar to quick-scoping is when you shoot, switch to your pistol, and then back to the AWP, really fast (if you have default Q to switch between your primary and secondary then you can just hit Q twice really fast) This removes some of the delay time before you can take another shot.

And no-scoping is pretty self explanatory--you just shoot without zooming in. But its a little bit more complicated then that. Look on youtube for some of the best AWPers and you will see that after they take a zoomed in shot and they missed, or there's another target, they will move, stop, and then no-scope. You will just have to play with the AWP a lot and figure it out.

And stand-scoping is just where you stand still, line up, and wait for your enemy to fall into your crosshairs.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the AWP except that when your in a wide open space you should strafe and then stop when you want to shoot. I also want to encourage you to practice with this weapon a lot--unless you don't like AWP then you can just use automatics. But whatever the case, you should practice as much as possible.

Take care and have fun!

The AK47.

Hello,
Today we will talk about the main Terrorist weapon -- the AK47(*epic music*).

Probably the most popular weapon in the game, as well as the most powerful rifle. The AK47 is tricky to get the hang of. Let me list some pros and cons about the AK.

Pros: Deals the most damage out of every rifle in the game, taking only 1 shot to the head to kill and only 3 to the chest--compare that to the M4 which takes 2 to the head, and 4 to the chest. Its less expensive then the M4. Faster re-load time then the M4.

Cons: Very loud, the enemy will know your position instantly once you fire it. Recoil is a lot harder to control. Is less accurate then the M4.

Despite these Cons, you can out-gun any player that's using an M4A1--with some practice. Like the M4 you always want to aim for the head. Firing at all the different distances differs with the AK and the M4, being that it takes fewer shots to kill an opponent with the AK. At close range spray, strafe, and aim for the head--even though accuracy decreases when moving it still only takes that 1 shot to kill your enemy. At medium range aim for the head and do bursts of 2 and pull down when firing. At long range tap and aim for the head while strafing.
When you strafe and fire any gun you don't want to strafe right, stop and shoot, strafe left, stop and shoot. you want to strafe, and then fire when you start moving the other direction. That technique will take some practice, but, once mastered, you will become extremely hard to hit. And controlling your recoil with this weapon is the same as the M4A1--pulling down and shaking your crosshairs a lil' left and right.
Well, that's all folks! take care and have fun!=D

The M4A1.

Hello again all!
In this post I will be talking about the main counter terrorist weapon--the M4A1.

In my previous post, we talked about configuration, including cross hair size and color. Now you will learn where to place those cross hairs.
The M4A1 has 10, maybe 12 different recoil patterns. The most common is where you hold down the mouse, and the bullets go up, then to the right, then to the left. And another is they go up, and to the right, or they will go up, into the left, then to the right. No matter how far away, or how close from your opponent you are, you always want to control your recoil. At close range you want to spray, but control your recoil by pulling down with your mouse then shake it a little left and right. At medium range, you can spray, but, unless you have HeatoN's recoil control,(HeatoN is a professional counter strike player) then your probably not going to hit your opponent--and even if you DID have his control, you still have less of a chance of hitting him. What you should do at medium range is do 2 to 3 bullet bursts pulling down when you fire and strafe.

One thing I hear a lot of people say is that you should aim for his chest, and burst 2 bullets and the second bullet will hit his head, which is mostly true, but lemme tell you what will get you more kills--aim for the head. I don't care what anyone tells you, aim for the head. It will take some practice, but, once you perfect it, you will become virtually unstoppable. Because if your opponent is aiming for your chest while your crosshairs are on his head, who do you think is going to win? That's right, YOU.
At long range do 1 bullet taps. If you get anything out of this post remember this: aim for the head, spray at close, burst at medium, and tap at long.

Some people use a silencer on there M4, and some people don't. Wondering whether or not to use a silencer? Well, it Depends*. The M4s bullets do travel a bit faster without a silencer, but if your playing classic mode then you really want to use a silencer. Why should you use a silencer? Because, it keeps the enemy from hearing where you are, and that can be a crucially deciding factor in whether or not you -- or your teammates -- survive the round. If all your teammates are using silencers and you aren't, and you accidentally let a few bullets go, then the enemy knows where you are and they flash your team and spray you down, and BOOM your all dead(assuming there close enough to hear you). But if your just playing a regular ol' Deathmatch, then it doesn't matter whether or not you use a silencer(oh, and play lots of Deathmatch, it will help your body memorize head level).
Well, that's all for the M4A1. Have fun and take care!

*I Will leave it up to you to figure out what I mean.....
